Whirlwind Damages 138 House In Tangerang

Tangerang, Banten, Jan 27 (ANTARA) - About 138 houses were damaged by a whirlwind that struck two villages in Tangerang district, Banten province, on Thursday (Jan 26) night. "Two villages hit by the whirlwind are Sukamantri and Pagadegan. Among the 138 damaged houses, four are severe damageed while the rest had roofs collapse," Tangerang district`s Chief of Firefighter Department Arsyad Husein said here on Friday. He said currently the local people with the help from military personnel and volunteers were trying to clean up the ruins of the damaged house. Humanitarian assistance such as clean water, meals and other products had been provided to the victims.
