Whirlwind Damages 40 Houses In W. Sumatra

Sarilamak, West Sumatra, April 10 (ANTARA) - Forty houses were damaged by a whirlwind that hit several villages in Limapuluh Kota district last Monday, injuring three people, reports said. "Ten houses in the Ikua Paruik area were heavily damaged, while 30 houses in areas such as Kubang, Koto Kociak VII and Koto Talago suffered minor damage," a local policeman, Iptu Ricky Paranata Vivaldi, said here on Tuesday. Ricky added that three local people were also injured in the whirlwind. The seriousness of their injuries is not known.
