Yemen Shows Desire to Share Intelligence With Iraq to Fight Terrorism

BAGHDAD / NINA / Undersecretary Yemeni National Security, Major General Mohammed Khader showed his country's willingness to share intelligence with Iraq to fight terrorism. He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "holding the first conference in Iraq underlines the Iraqi government's sincerity to fight terrorism and dry its sources." He said: "We and Iraq share together in exchanging experience of combating terrorism in terms of the efforts of the Republic of Yemen in combat and solidarity with the Government and people of Iraq as well as the international community in bringing peace," declaring " welcome and willingness to share information with Iraq to combat terrorism." He added "We are one of the first countries that have suffered from terrorism, especially in paying ransom to the al-Qaeda to release abducted people from different nationalities" considering that as" direct support to al-Qaeda to continue its operations." Yemen is within more than 50 countries participates in Baghdad first international conference of counter-terrorism , which opened yesterday in the presence of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, dozens of researches from Iraq, Arab and foreign countries will be discussed ways to eliminate terrorism in the region and the world. / End
