Yemen's Ansarullah says ready to end all military operations

Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA – Yemeni Ansarullah Movement has reacted to the UN’s call in a statement, expressing readiness to stop military operations in all the fronts in order to achieve peace, reported a Yemeni media. “United Nations’ representative called us to support their efforts for establishing peace by stopping missile and drone attacks,” the al-Masirah Television channel quoted President of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee of Yemen Mohammad-Ali al-Houthi as saying on Sunday. “In this context, we announce an initiative and call on the official authorities to stop firing missiles and flying drones targeting the forces of the aggression, which will help eliminate any justification for this continued aggression and siege,' Al-Houthi said. “If the coalition of aggression wants peace, we are ready to freeze and stop military operations on all fronts,” he added. “The ballistic missiles and drones were used only to deter the aggression, its crimes and the destruction of our infrastructure,” Al-Houthi said. The President of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee of Yemen stressed that Yemen suffers from the largest humanitarian crisis, created by US and Saudi-backed troops. Saudi alliance started its second round of attacks in September to occupy al-Hudaydah in order to force Ansarullah into accepting Riyadh’s imposed terms and conditions. Despite international warnings on the human conditions in Yemen, the Arab coalition led by Saudi and the United Arab Emirates raged extensive attacks to infiltrate al-Hudaydah port in western Yemen since June 13, which have faced the resistance of the country’s army and forces of the Popular Resistance Committees. Yemen conflicts which started in 2015 with the Saudi forces’ air attacks have been recognized by the UN as the worst humanitarian crisis throughout the world, as 22.5 million out of 29 million Yemeni people need immediate aid. 9462**2044 Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
