Young People Volunteer to Work at Major Worksites for Socialist Construction

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Hundreds of young people in South Hwanghae, North Hamgyong, North Hwanghae and Ryanggang provinces of the DPRK volunteered to work at major worksites for socialist construction with a single mind to perform labor feats and set good examples in the van of the sacred struggle for the prosperity and development of the country in hearty response to the appeal of the great Party Central Committee. More than 310 young people in South Hwanghae Province volunteered to work in the socialist countryside with the determination to live up to the great love and trust of the Party Central Committee greatly valuing the youth. More than 200 youths in North Hamgyong Province vowed to work in the field of metallurgical industry and at coal mines and farms. Many young people in North Hwanghae and Ryanggang provinces volunteered to work in different sectors of national economy, including the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and socialist cooperative farms. Meetings took place to congratulate the young volunteers. Volunteer certificates were awarded to them in the meetings. Then, art performances were given for them. Officials and young people in those provinces warmly sent the volunteers off, presenting them bunches of flowers. -0-
