Youth's role in enriching cultural scene stressed

Manama, Nov. 25 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa stressed Bahrain's great reliance on the youth in bringing about many achievements. She said the Bahraini youth have always been present in various cultural functions including "Ta’a Al Shabab" festival. She was speaking as she received today a delegation of students from the University of Bahrain (UoB) Students Council led by Dean of the Students Affairs Dr. Osama Al-Jowder. She pointed out the need for concerted efforts to promote Bahrain's civilisational heritage. She also underlined the key role played by Bahraini youngsters on the cultural scene and in boosting cooperation between BACA and UoB. On his part, Dr. Al-Jowder thanked Shaikha Mai for her unrelenting efforts to protect the kingdom's cultural heritage, voicing the Students Council's constant readiness to enrich the cultural momentum in Bahrain.
