Zebari, U.S. Official Discuss The Syrian Crisis And Maliki's Visit To The US

BAGHDAD / NINA / Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari reviewed with Brett Magrec, the adviser of the U.S. State Department, regional political situation and the results of his recent visit to Ankara and other common concern issues. The Iraq Foreign Ministry said in a press statement on Sunday, 27, Oct: "Zebari also reviewed with Magrec , during the meeting, which was attended by U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Robert Stephen Beecroft , the Syrian crisis and the ongoing consultations for the convening of the Geneva Conference 2 in order to work hard to find a political and peaceful solution to this crisis and its impact on neighboring countries," . The statement noted "they also discussed the program of Prime Minister, Nuri al –Maliki's visit to the U.S. and a number of issues to be included in the visit , including the political and economic cooperation ." The Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki will head, at the end of this month, to the United States on an official visit during which he will meet with U.S. President Obama. / End
