Zika virus under control in Thailand

BANGKOK, February 15 (TNA) - The Ministry of Public Health confirms that the zika virus has been under control in Thailand. Amnuay Gajeena, Director-General of the ministry's Department of Disease Control, made the confirmation on Monday, stressing that parties concerned have successfully control the spreading of the zika virus in Thailand, thanks to their close surveillance of the deadly disease. According to the senior health official, zika virus patients in Thailand have all been recovering well. The senior official noted that people who have overseas travelling plans have also been advised to avoid visiting countries or areas being at risk of the zika virus, while officials concerned have been ordered to strictly screen international travellers entering the Thai Kingdom at airports and border checkpoints.
