Iran produces vacuum tubes for blood collection
Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy Rouhollah Dehqani Firouzabadi has unveiled a full automatic production line of home-grown vacuum tubes for blood collection.
The production unit is capable of producing as many as 60 million vacuum tubes per year.
Iran needs some 380 million vacuum tubes on average every year, some 40 million of which are produced domestically and the rest are imported.
The imports of these tubes require over $11 million a year and the newly-launched facility will cut reliance on imports by 30 percent.
