Iran women’s ice hockey team finish runner-up at EIHL
Tehran, IRNA - An Iranian women's ice hockey team has finished runner-up at the Emirates Ice Hockey League (EIHL) tournament.
Icebox Iran Mall won the silver medal at EIHL after they lost 4-2 in the final to UAE's Golden Team, according to a Saturday report by the IRNA.
The team reached the final tournament after winning four matches against the UAE's Falcons, the Philippines' Eagles, Mexico's Panthers, and the UAE's Yas. It lost to a Golden Team which featured Tyler Woods, a Canadian who shined and scored a hat-trick in the match.
Hedyeh Aghaei was the best player of the Icebox in the final match.
The EIHL wrapped up on September 9 in the UAE city of Al Ain.
