Iran's vehicle output up 48% y/y in March-May
Tehran, IRNA – Iranian car manufacturers produced more than 193,000 vehicles from March 21 until May 19, showing a 48% increase in comparison to the same period last year, an official has said.
Director General of auto industries department in Iran's Ministry of Industries, Mine and Trade Abdollah Tavakoli Lahijani told IRNA on Sunday that Iranian car manufacturers had produced nearly 65,000 sedans in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to May 19), a 45% increase compared with the same period in 2022, .
During the first two months of this year, Iranian carmakers churned out over 21,000 pickup trucks, an increase of 58% compared to the same period last year.
