Kyrgyz leader, Mongolian PM discuss bilateral co-op issues
Bishkek, July 10, 2023. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with Prime Minister of Mongolia Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene in Ulaanbaatar in the framework of his state visit to Mongolia.
They exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, including in the trade and economic sphere.
Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, welcoming Sadyr Zhaparov, noted the historical significance of his visit to the country and the fruitful talks with president of Mongolia.
He also expressed satisfaction with the opening of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Mongolia, stressing that it would enhance cooperation between the two countries.
At the same time, Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene stressed the importance of joint efforts to promote trade and economic cooperation, as well as to intensify interaction with Kyrgyz colleagues in relevant areas for mutual benefit.
In his turn, Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that over the past 30 years of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, it was possible to build exemplary relations and establish practical cooperation in all key areas. Meanwhile, the potential of these relations has not been fully unlocked, and the necessary joint efforts for quality and meaningful bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples are yet to be made.
Speaking about political cooperation, the Kyrgyz leader noted that the current bilateral relations have a stable character and are developing in an upward direction.
"The activation of cooperation between our countries will also contribute to the official opening of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Mongolia. I am sure that along with the Mongolian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, our Embassy will also make its worthy contribution to strengthening friendly relations between the two countries," expressed his gratitude the president.
Zhaparov emphasized the development of trade and economic cooperation with Mongolia, which will serve as a solid foundation for the development of interstate relations as a whole.
"Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia are approximately in the same position in terms of investment attractiveness. The Kyrgyz side considers it important to strengthen economic cooperation by strengthening and expanding cooperation in such areas as the mining industry, textile and garment industry, livestock breeding, plant growing, veterinary and phytosanitary security, and processing of agricultural products," the head of state said.
The president of Kyrgyzstan expressed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to practical cooperation and implementation of joint projects in promising industries.
