13Tth Edition Of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention In Gujarat Early Next Year

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- The 13th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, organised by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government Of India, will be held on Jan 7 till 9 next year, at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The High Commission of India in a statement to Bernama here Thursday said that the convention provides a platform to the overseas Indian community to engage with the government and people of the land of their ancestors for mutually beneficial activities. "We are confident that PBD Convention 2015 would provide a unique platform to interact with the other persons of Indian origin worldwide as well as the government of India and the governments of the various states of India," it said. PBD coventions are being held every year since 2003. These conventions are also very useful in networking among the overseas Indian community residing in various parts of the world and enable them to show their experiences in various fields.
