1st Iranian microinjection infant born

TEHRAN, Aug. 18 (MNA) – Iran’s Rouyesh Infertility Treatment Center announced that the first microinjection infant is born in Tehran. Established by Royan Medical Institute and Iranian Red Crescent Society, Rouyesh Center was designated primarily for infertility treatment. Rouyesh clinic supplies the most advanced equipments of In Vitro Fertilizations (IVF) and grants the patients with the latest Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) which are methods used to achieve pregnancy by artificial or partially artificial ways. The Infertility Treatment Center of the Royan Institute provides all treatments possible found in world’s similar centers through its 70 infertility treatment clinics. Thus, presently no patient is sent abroad; instead, Iran hosts significant number of patients coming from abroad. Established in 1991, Royan Institute, as an infertility treatment clinic, acts as a pioneer in the field of Stem Cell and embryology research and is also one of the best clinics for infertility treatment in the Middle East. Microinjection is used to treat infertile males. The main advantage of ICSI is that low sperm count or abnormal sperms are not a problem in this method.
