Antalya hosting sand sculpture festival

ANTALYA (A.A) - November 8, 2011 - Turkey's southern resort province Antalya is hosting the 5th International Sand Sculpture Festival. "Hollywood" is the theme of this year's festival which will end on November 13. 25 sculptors from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Russia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Latvia, Turkey and Hungary participate in the festival which displayed 35 "Hollywood"-theme sand sculptures. 10,000 tons of sand was used in the festival. Meanwhile, the sculptures were restored three times due to torrential rains in Antalya this year.
