Azerbaijani delegation attends Nowruz Summit in Kabul

Baku, April 1 (AzerTAc). An Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Elchin Afandiyev has attended the annual Nowruz Summit of Islamic countries in Kabul, Afghanistan on March 27. The event brought together presidents of Islamic Republics of Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, the Deputy Secretary General of the Untied Nations, and representatives of other countries. Deputy Premier Elchin Afandiyev met presidents Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan, Hassan Rouhani of Iran, Mamnoon Hussain of Pakistan, Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan to convey them greetings of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and congratulate on the occasion of the Nowruz Holiday. Afandiyev also met heads of the Kazakh, Turkmen, and Kyrgyz delegations. The Deputy PM then met Azerbaijani peacekeeping forces in Afghanistan.
