Best Of Asean Programe To Celebrate Asean-ROK Commemorative Summit

BANGKOK, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- The Asean-Korea Centre will host a special programme entitled, 'Best of Asean' from Nov 27-Dec 14 in Seoul to celebrate the upcoming Asean-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit 2014 in Busan on Dec 11 and 12. 'Best of Asean' comprises Asean Film Festival, Jewels of Asean, Asean on Wheels and Asean-Korea Youth Forum, aimed at bringing Asean a step closer to the hearts of the Korean public, said the Asean Secretariat in a press release Friday. The Asean-Korea Centre carefully selected cultural contents to be showcased on 'Best of Asean' through consultation with the Asean Embassies, in Korea and experts in related fields to unveil the diverse facets of the rich cultures of Asean. Chung Hae-moon, secretary-general of the Asean-Korea Centre, emphasised that “for the successful convening of the Asesan-ROK Commemorative Summit, the interest and support of the Korean public is a must”. He hopes ‘Best of Asean’ will become a valuable occasion whereby, the Korean public can rediscover the charm and splendor of Asean, Korea’s close neighbour, through being able to understand more profoundly, the multifarious cultures of Asean. -- BERNAMA
