BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF ZANABAZAR TO BE CELEBRATED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The government has issued a resolution to mark the 380th birth anniversary of High Saint Zanabazar, a prominent political, religious and culture figure of Mongolia. By the resolution, a working group has been set up to deal with the celebration matters, under a leadership of R.Gonchigdorj, a Vice Speaker of parliament. A head of the Cabinet Secretariat for Government S.Bayartsogt has been appointed the group’s deputy chair. In a scope of the anniversary, a scientific conference ran last April in Budapest of Hungary and in May in Ulaanbaatar. Further measures will be making a documentary about Zanabazar, erecting him a statue, repairing the Yellow Palace at the Amarbayasgalan monastery, a mini Naadam festival, a renovation of Zanabazar-named park, and an opening of a museum.
