Children, Families Celebrate Garangao Night At Katara's Ramadan Festival

Doha, June 18 (QNA) - The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara is excitedly gearing up to welcome a major fun tradition event and party awaited annually by children in Qatar, on Ramadan 14 night. The colorful festivities which usually attracts children and families is a live platform for all to enjoy watching a demonstration on the revival of one Qatari old tradition, highlighting values of cooperation amongst families and neighbors, and stressing the importance of enhancing social bonds and community cohesion; all in an atmosphere of love, caring and sharing. Katara's Ramadan 2016-Garangao night will witness several activities and programs designed to offer visiting children a great entertaining and learning experience. Children will get gifts and listen to traditional Garangao songs. The Katara-Garangao night comes as part of the Cultural Village's Ramadan Festival plan to present a creative content in all activities, including using innovational methods to raise awareness on health issues, preserving Arab and Islamic identity and revival of Qatari old traditions.
