Experts from Estonia help to create technoparks in Kyrgyz universities

A budget of 6 million soms is provided annually for the technoparks on the basis of three higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan, Oskonbai Kozubayev, Head of the Innovation and Strategic Development Department of the State Service for Intellectual Property and Innovation (Kyrgyzpatent) told at Kabar News Agency. He said that the universities, on the basis of which the inventive sites are being formed, were selected on a competitive basis. "Plans for technology parks are ready. They were developed in cooperation with Estonian specialists. This turned out to be a complicated and painstaking work, in the implementation of which experts from Austria and Finland helped us, "Kozubayev said. He noted that such sites are not new for Kyrgyzstan. Thus, in the early 1980s the first scientific research center "Impulse" was established in the republic at the Institute of Automation of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR. The result of the work of "Impulse" was a detail that was used during the take-off of the "Luna-16" Lunokhod.
