Foreigners committed 240 crimes in Kyrgyzstan this year

Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2021. / Kabar /. Over 240 crimes were committed by foreign citizens on the territory of the republic, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said. According to data, 243 crimes were committed on the territory of the republic by foreign citizens during 11 months of 2021, which is 150 more crimes compared to the same period last year, of which 226 were solved. In order to prevent crime, illegal migration, operational-preventive and other measures are carried out. These are mainly fraud, hooliganism, theft, organization of financial pyramids, robberies, murders have also been registered. The greatest criminal activity is shown by immigrants from the CIS countries and neighboring countries, including citizens of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Turkey, among them there are also citizens of Great Britain, France and other countries, the Interior Ministry said. In addition, according to data of the department for organizing the fight against crimes against foreign citizens of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, 191 crimes committed against foreign citizens were registered for 11 months of 2021, which is 16 facts more compared to the same period last year (175). Of these, 139 crimes have been solved. The most committed crimes are fraud (51 facts), thefts (21 facts), robberies (13 facts). More than half of the crimes (153) were committed on the territory of Bishkek.
