Former Iranian FM Mottaki: Azerbaijan is trying to show that multiculturalism stems from Islam

Baku, March 23, AZERTAC Former Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Manouchehr Mottaki has hailed the importance Azerbaijan attaches to preserving and promoting multiculturalism and Islamic solidarity. In an interview with AZERTAC, he said that by organizing “Islamic Solidarity – Call of the Time” international conference, Azerbaijan is trying to show that multiculturalism stems from Islam. “Co-existence is a vital element of Islamic culture. Islam means respects for different views, different cultures.” “So I`m happy that Azerbaijan contributes to organizing such conferences,” Mottaki said.
