Hats off to a teacher who has gone way beyond his duties!

TEHRAN,July 12(MNA)--Davood Norian has gone above and beyond the call of his job responsibilities as a teacher and has personally provided transportation for all his 13 nomadic students to school every day. Davood puts 50 kilometers on his motorbike every single school day to collect all his students from their residence and brings them to school, a journey that he has to repeat three times in the earlier part of the day in order to have his entire pupils transported. The school, as they call it, happens to be only a tent in Deh Baneh village, 50 kilometers off Abdanan, in the western province of Ilam. Since Davood’s students live a nomad life in deprived and remote regions covered in forest, the warm-hearted teacher has to go on tough rides on dusty and bumpy roads. With a master’s degree and 6 years of teaching under his belt, Davood could have chosen to teach in bigger cities with higher pay; however he decided to reach out to young students in indigent communities and leave his marks on them that is ‘making this world a better place’. “I love my students, and I consider them my own children. I feel their need for learning and rising up in the world as successful people, and so I am here to feed their dreams,” the male teacher said. Davood’s endeavor, motivation, devotion and love for serving the indigenous young kids at school has brought tremendous success to his students to a degree that they are among the highest achieved pupils in the province of Ilam.
