India ready to increase quotas for Kyrgyz students

Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2020 /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to India Asein Karasayev met on Thursday with Director General in Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) at the Foreign Ministry of India Dinesh Patnaik. The meeting was held in New Delhi at the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported. The sides reached agreements on the following issues: - increasing the quota for Kyrgyz students to study under the ICCR programs, as well as the opportunity to choose a specialty according to the request of the Kyrgyz side; - mutual recognition of higher education diplomas of the two countries; - opportunity to hold a joint Kyrgyz-Indian art exhibition; - mutual invitation of teachers and professors from India and Kyrgyzstan to give lectures on the basis of the international relations faculties of the universities of the two countries; - prospects for cultural exchange in the post-COVID period; - exchange of experience in the field of general education schools. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to take concrete measures for implementation of the mentioned agreements.
