Kazakhstan offers Kyrgyzstan to build up two-way relationship in military-technical direction

Astana, Aug. 17, 2018. / Kabar /. The Government of Kazakhstan always pays special attention to strengthening good-neighborly and allied relations with Kyrgyzstan, Kazakh Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev told during a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh intergovernmental council. He said that there is a positive dynamics of trade and economic relations between the two countries. "In 2017, trade between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic increased by 13%, and on the results of 5 months of 2018 it increased by 10%. I am confident that this indicator will increase by the end of this year. I believe that it is necessary to ensure further deepening of trade relations based on mutually beneficial supplies, increasing the range of supplied goods, and opening joint ventures. We should use the existing advantage for the development of bilateral trade - these are the existence of common borders and the established infrastructure," he said. Prime Minister Sagintayev said that Kazakhstan is interested in further development of military-technical cooperation. "Kazakhstan can offer services of national space systems for remote sensing of land and communications in the interests of economic development of the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. In February of this year in Bishkek in the Ministry of Defense, representatives of the Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan organized a presentation of the services provided by defense enterprises. The first step in this direction may be the signing of a bilateral Intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation. This will create a legal basis for a relationship in this direction," Sagintayev said.
