Kuching High School To Represent Malaysia At World Robotics Olympiad

KUCHING (Sarawak, Malaysia), Oct 8 (Bernama)-- The Robotics Club of SMK Kuching High School will be representing Malaysia at the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) to be held in Doha, Qatar from Nov 6 to 8. The team represented by Chai Ming Qi, Josiah Yang Qi, Brandon Tan and Bryan Tan represented Sarawak amd emerged champions at the National Robotics Competition 2015 held in George Town, Malaysian Penang state from Sept 29 to Oct 1. SMK Kuching High School principal Tan Kiang Tuang praised the team, saying he was proud of their achievement. “All their achievements was because of the full support from the school teachers, Teochew Association and their parents,” Tan told reporters here Wednesday. Tan said that the school had already won a few championships on robotics competition, and he was confident that the students will win the championship in Doha. The school also announced that their Red Crescent Youth Unit had won the Red Crescent Best Unit in Sarawak (Category A) during the annual Malaysian Red Crescent (Sarawak Branch) Volunteer's Recognition Night 2015 on Sept 26. -- BERNAMA
