Kyrgyz ambassador to Kazakhstan meets with executive director of CICA

Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2020 / Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan Jeenbek Kulubaev held a meeting with Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay. During the conversation, a wide range of issues were discussed, including interaction between Kyrgyzstan and the CICA, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. At the beginning of the conversation, Kulubaev, congratulating Sarybay on his recent confirmation to the post of CICA Executive Director, indicated Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue adhering to the main goals and principles of the Conference aimed at strengthening dialogue, trust, friendship and cooperation. Also, the interlocutor was provided with brief information about the current internal political situation in Kyrgyzstan, including the upcoming presidential elections. In turn, Sarybay spoke about the current activities of the Executive Secretariat, as well as provided information on the plans and upcoming events within the framework of the CICA. In addition, the interlocutors exchanged views on issues of further improvement and development of effective mechanisms of interaction within the framework of the CICA space. In conclusion, the sides expressed hope for close interaction in the framework of the implementation of initiatives for the further development of the Conference.
