Kyrgyz president receives Chairman of EEC Board Myasnikovich

Bishkek, Dec. 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received on Thursday Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich, his press service said. The parties exchanged views on current issues of joint activities within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), issues of deepening and expanding integration in the Eurasian space, including in the light of the upcoming presidency of Kyrgyzstan in the bodies of the Union in 2022. "Today we face the important task of returning to pre-pandemic growth rates and ensuring that economic indicators continue to develop intensively. The consequences of the pandemic were a drop in income, unemployment, and a widening gap between the economies of member states of the Union. In this regard, we need to fully use the existing integration potential of the Union and the competitive advantages of each member state for the sustainable development of our integration in order to strengthen the economies of the member states and ensure their harmonious development and convergence," Sadyr Zhaparov stressed. The president expressed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to consider and analyze all proposals of the Commission within the framework of the upcoming presidency of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU in 2022. In turn, Mikhail Myasnikovich expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz leader for the opportunity to meet and provided information about the priorities of the Commission. He expressed the hope that the coming year under the presidency of Kyrgyzstan in EAEU bodies will be successful not only for the Union, but will also play an important role in the development of Kyrgyzstan's economy. The EEC chairman drew attention to the traceable positive dynamics of economic indicators for 11 months of this year, noting also good indicators of mutual trade between EAEU states, including Kyrgyzstan - 32.7%. The sides agreed to continue developing cooperation within the of Eurasian integration.
