Kyrgyzstan prepares to remove its air companies from EU black list

Bishkek, Dec. 25, 2020. /Kabar/. Airlines of Kyrgyzstan jointly with the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) of the Kyrgyz Republic are constantly working to bring the Kyrgyz airlines in compliance with international safety standards, including the requirements of the European Union, Director of CAA Stalbek Sharsheyev told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency. According to him, a video conference with representatives of the European Aviation Safety Agency was held on Nov. 25, during which it was agreed that the Kyrgyz side should send a number of relevant documents for evaluation by EU experts. Further, audit team is expected to arrive in Kyrgyzstan to check on site, after which the final report will be sent to the European Commission. "At the moment, Kyrgyzstan is preparing a package of documents in accordance with the EU requirements, based on the information received on Dec. 18, 2020 from the EU experts," said Sharsheyev.
