Kyrgyzstan to purchase 1.2 mln vaccines against COVID-19

Within the framework of the global COVAX initiative (Global Alliance for Vaccines), Kyrgyzstan has submitted an application for 1 million 200 thousand doses of vaccine against coronavirus infection, which was approved, Vice Prime Minister Elvira Surabaldieva said at today's meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19. She said that, thus, the Kyrgyz Republic will be able to vaccinate more than 20% of the country's population. Also at the meeting it was decided that information and explanatory work will be carried out among medical personnel on the use of medical equipment in accordance with the established rules. “We must take preventive measures to prevent emergencies, when an explosion occurred in a hospital in a foreign country due to a breakdown of the oxygen apparatus. Each manager will be personally responsible for instructing medical personnel,” she said.
