Kyrgyzstan reports 242 new COVID-19 cases

Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan reported on Friday 242 new COVID-19 cases, raising the national count to 173,428. The Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 said that the total number of people having recovered from the virus reached 165,368 after 526 new recoveries were recorded over the past day. Meanwhile, 5 new virus related deaths were reported, taking the nationwide count to 2,473. According to the headquarters, 1,577 COVID-19 patients are in hospitals across the country and 2,594 patients are receiving treatment at home. Kyrgyzstan has started COVID-19 vaccine jabs on March 29. 21,091 people received the COVID-19 vaccine in Kyrgyzstan over the past day. In total, 622,845 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
