Large-scale COVID-19 vaccination campaign starts in Kyrgyzstan

A large-scale vaccination campaign against COVID-19 starts in Kyrgyzstan from September 1 to 10, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of the country Bakyt Dzhangaziev told at a briefing. He said that as of September 1, 445,231 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, or 19% of the existing target group, which includes people over 18 years old (excluding external labor migrants). “Thus, the Ministry of Health and Social Development, in compliance with the protocol of the Republican Headquarters, launched a large-scale vaccination campaign. We call on everyone, citizens to show personal and social responsibility,” he said. In addition, the deputy head pointed out that the country has currently received more than 3 million doses of vaccines from COVID-19, of which more than 1 million have been used. “Also, for the convenience of citizens, temporary vaccination points throughout the republic are deployed at airports, public service centers, shopping centers, schools and higher educational institutions. In addition, mobile vaccination stations operate across the country,” he added.
