Malaysia To Host Global Food Safety Conference

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- Over 800 global delegates are expected to attend the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Global Food Safety Conference held from March 3-5. This is also the first time the world's number one food safety event is being held in Asia after 13 successful editions in Europe and North America. "There is a real opportunity to engage with a wide audience on the importance of improving efficiency in food safety management. "Hosting the GFSI Global Food Safety Conference in one of Asia's premier business hubs is a natural fit to ensure confidence in the delivery of safe food to seven billion consumers worldwide," Head of GFSI at The Consumer Goods Forum, Véronique Discours-Buhot said in a statement Thursday. Themed, "Food Safety: A Shared Responsibility", the GFSI Global Food Safety Conference 2015 will bring together leading food safety experts from the world’s largest manufacturers, retailers and service providers to address the serious issues of today’s food industry from both a global and Asia-Pacific perspective.
