Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has reported that the highest precipitation (84.0 mm) was recorded in Tov aimag's Bayan soum in May 2014. Bayankhongor aimag's Jinst soum had the highest air temperature (39.0°C), whereas the lowest air temperature (-17.0°C) of May of this year was recorded in Khovsgol aimag's Alag-Erdene soum. Wind speed reached 28.0 m/sec in Dornogobi's Sainshand soum and in Sukhbaatar aimag's Baruun-Urt soum. For the acceptable level of air quality standards as of May, 2014, daily average concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded 24 times around the West crossroad, 18 times around the 13th micro district and 16 times around the 32nd Circle. Daily average concentration of sulphur dioxide exceeded twice around the “Misheel expo” center, the particulate matter less than 10 micrograms exceeded 19 times around the West crossroad, and 32nd Circle, respectively, 16 times around the 13th micro district and 10 times around the “Kharkhorin” market.
