Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Korean police intend to sign MoU

Within the framework of the International Police Summit, taking place in Seoul, a bilateral meeting of Minister of Internal Affairs Ulan Niyazbekov with General Commissioner of the National Police Agency of Korea Kim Chang Yong took place. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the meeting, Ulan Niyazbekov congratulated Kim Chang Young on the 76th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean National Police Agency and noted the positive dynamics of development of cooperation. He stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is watching with great interest the activities of the Korean National Police Agency in the prevention and fight against crime using modern innovative methods and technologies. At the same time, Ulan Niyazbekov voiced readiness to expand cooperation with the Korean National Police Agency through the signing of a memorandum of understanding, which will maximize the work of the two friendly countries. The document will provide a legal basis for bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea in the prevention, detection and investigation of crimes, strengthen information exchange, and also give a positive impetus to the work of the two departments, the press service said. In turn, the General Commissioner of the National Police Agency of Korea Kim Chang Yong thanked the Kyrgyz side and confirmed their readiness for further fruitful cooperation, as well as the exchange of experience, best practices in identifying, suppressing and investigating crimes. At the end of the meeting, Ulan Niyazbekov invited his Korean colleagues to visit the health facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, located on the shore of the pearl of Kyrgyzstan, Issyk-Kul Lake.
