Nigerian Student Dies In Nilai Road Accident

SEREMBAN (Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia) May 21 (Bernama) -- A Nigerian student died in a road accident in Nilai near here Monday, according to the Nilai Fire and Rescue Station. Audu Oyaele David, 34, of the President College in Kuala Lumpur, died on the spot after the Proton Saga car he was driving was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Lexus car near the Petronas service station along Jalan Semarak at 8.30 am, said senior fire and rescue officer II Khairollizal Abu Kasim. “Oyaele, who was driving to the college after meeting a friend in Nilai, was badly injured in the head and right side of the body,” he said when contacted by Bernama. He also said that members of the public sent the driver of the other car, Tan Ley Leng, 39, to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital here as she also suffered injuries in the accident. Meanwhile, in another accident, a lorry driver, Zainal Mohamad, 40, was badly injured after the sand-laden vehicle he was driving plunged into a 30-metre-deep ravine along Jalan Kuala Pilah-Seremban at about 7 am today. Senawang Fire and Rescue Station senior fire and rescue officer II Zainurin Sharif said Zainal was found unconscious when fire and rescue personnel arrived at the location. “We brought him out of the ravine on a stretcher and sent him to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital,” he said. -- BERNAMA
