Park named after Zhusup Abdrakhmanov to appear in Cholpon-Ata

A park named after Zhusup Abdrakhmanov will be opened in Cholpon-Ata town (Issyk-Kul Oblast), where his monument is planned to be installed, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said Tuesday during an event dedicated to the 120th anniversary of outstanding statesman and one of the founders of the Kyrgyz statehood. During his speech, the president said that an organizing committee has been established at the state level and a number of events were held to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Abdrakhmanov's birth. Sadyr Zhaparov noted that on Aug. 31, Zhusup Abdrakhmanov was awarded the highest state title – Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic. Further, the Kyrgyz leader spoke about the events held in the framework of the 120th anniversary of Abdrakhmanov. Thus, the State Archive Agency received the information from the archives of Kazakh president, the State Archive of Almaty region, the Central Archive of Audio and Film documents of the country. A total of 13 documents on 33 pages, and 33 photo documents belonging to Zhusup Abdrakhmanov were found and digitized. In addition, 39 archival documents on 155 pages about Zhusup Abdrakhmanov were found in the State Archive of Social and Political History of the Russian Federation in Moscow. A documentary film by famous filmmaker Ernest Abdyzhaparov about the life and political activities of Abdrakhmanov was shown free of charge in all cinemas of the country. At the meeting of the Commission of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan on perpetuation of the memory of outstanding personalities of Kyrgyzstan on Dec. 9, the decision to give the name of Zhusup Abdrakhmanov to the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic was approved.
