Photo exhibition dedicated to 75th anniversary of UNICEF opened in Kyrgyz capital

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Gapar Aitiev Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts present a photo exhibition "History of Kyrgyzstan in Photographs. Children" dedicated to 75th anniversary of UNICEF. The press service of the republic’s Culture Ministry reported that the exhibition consists of 50 archival photographs dating back to 1946 - since the founding of UNICEF. The exhibition tries to tell the story of the country through rare pictures of children. The photos reveal the life and ways of children during the Soviet era and the early years of independence and today, ranging from black and white photos to color shots. The exhibition will be available for viewing for two weeks.
