Police Assure Safety Of Dr Fadi's Family

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Sunday gave its assurance on the safety of the family members of Palestinian Dr Fadi Mohammed Al Batsh and that of the Palestinian Embassy here. Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said adequate security patrols were being carried out to ensure the safety of Fadi’s family members. "Apart from that,we also assured the safety of the Palestinian Embassy in Malaysia,” he told a media conference at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters here Sunday. He said investigation on Dr Fadi’s murder was in progress by taking into account various aspects. Fadi, a 35-year-old electrical engineering lecturer at a private institution of higher learning here, was gunned down as he was walking to a surau near a condominium in Jalan Meranti, Setapak, here at about 6 am Saturday. — BERNAMA
