Presidential envoy to Batken Oblast meets with ethnic Kyrgyz from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan

Osh, Nov. 25, 2021 . / Kabar / . Presidential Envoy in Batken Oblast Abdikarim Alimbayev met on Wednesday with ethnic Kyrgyz people in Ak-Tatyr village of Batken Oblast. The meeting was attended by heads of relevant departments and enterprises, specialists of the Department of Civil Registration and Passport Control of Bishkek, as well as ethnic Kyrgyz immigrants from neighboring Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Ethnic Kyrgyz living in Ak-Tatyr, Aksai, and Samarkandek rural counts of Batken Oblast addressed a number of questions to the head of the region and relevant specialists. A total of 562 ethnic Kyrgyz immigrated to Batken Oblast in the hope of obtaining Kyrgyz citizenship, 274 of whom had applied for citizenship, 91 of whom had already received it.
