Putin says boosting of relations in common interest of both Russia, Armenia

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The message was published on the Kremlin website. "I am confident that the further boosting of bilateral ties between Russia and Armenia, as well as interaction within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and other multilateral organizations, is in our common interest as it helps ensure peace and stability in the South Caucasus and in Eurasia in general," the message reads. The Russian leader also pointed out that in the past few years, Russia and Armenia had succeeded in taking bilateral relations to the new heights of allied cooperation. "Political dialogue has been underway, in addition, common trade, economy and humanitarian projects are being implemented," Putin added. According to him, integration processes have been providing good results as well as common efforts aimed at combating regional security threats. The Russian president wished good health for Sargsyan and continued progress and prosperity for the Armenian people. Read more
