Qatar’s Economy and Commerce Ministry Intensifies Inspection Campaigns During Eid

Doha, July 14 (QNA) - The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has embarked surprise inspection campaigns on a number of shops in different parts the country, as part of its commitment to monitor the markets and business activities during the blessed Eid Al Fitr. The Ministry is intensifying inspection campaigns on shops selling sweets and nuts as well as women's salons, tailors and barbers and clothing and accessories shops. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce conducted a surprise inspection campaigns with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan which resulted in recording 64 violation and irregularities which their penalties had ranged between fines that start from QR 6,000 and administrative closure in some cases.(QNA)
