Russia considering possibility of delivering humanitarian aid to Indonesia - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW, October 4. /TASS/. Moscow is considering the possibility of delivering humanitarian aid to Indonesia’s earthquake-hit regions, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday. "The possibility of delivering Russian humanitarian aid there is currently under consideration. Mobile power stations, tents, blankets and food [are planned to be delivered] to Indonesia’s earthquake-hit regions," she said. Zakharova confirmed that no Russians had been affected by the earthquake. A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Central Sulawesi province on September 28. About 360 aftershocks were recorded. The earthquake also triggered 3.5-meter-high tsunami waves. According to latest reports, the disaster killed 1,424 people, while 113 are still missing. More than 2,500 people suffered injuries, while over 70,000 had to leave their homes. Read more
