Russia delivers humanitarian aid to Yemen

MOSCOW, July 18. /TASS/. A Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft has delivered humanitarian aid to Yemen and will transport citizens of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) who are willing to leave the conflict zone on its way back, the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry informed TASS. "An Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry has arrived at the Sana’a airport delivering there more than 20 tonnes of humanitarian aid - food and large-capacity tents," the press service said. While returning from Yemen, the plane will deliver to Moscow citizens of Russia and the CIS who wished to leave the conflict zone. "These citizens’ registration is currently underway at the Sana’a airport. The Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Emergencies Ministry will leave for Moscow soon. It is expected to arrive at the Domodedovo airport in the Moscow region on July 19," the ministry noted. During the flight the passengers will be accompanied by the medical staff of the ministry’s Tsentrospas unit and psychologists from the Center for Emergency Psychological Aid. Read more
