Second Malaysian Injured In Taiwan Water Theme Park Explosion

KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- Another Malaysian Wah Liang Jie was injured in the explosion at the Formosa Water Theme Park, New Taipei City, Taiwan on Saturday, making him among two injured Malaysians identified so far. According to a Wisma Putra (Malaysia's Foreign Ministry) statement Monday, Wah, a student at Vanung University sustained burns on his face, arms and legs. He is now being warded at the Xizhi Cathay Hospital, New Taipei City. Another Malaysian victim, Lim Sh Li was reported to be in stable condition and has been transfered from Ren Ai Hospital to Taiwan Medical University for further treatment. Wisma Putra through the Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre in Taipei was in the midst of obtaining further information on the possibility of other Malaysians involved in the incident. At present there are over 16,000 Malaysians residing in Taiwan and the majority are students. Over 500 visitors were injured in the explosion at the water theme park while watching the Color Play Asia concert. --BERNAMA
