Slim River Vocational College, JB MRSM To Compete At World Rocket Contest

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- The Slim River Vocational College in Perak and Johor Bahru Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) which emerged champions of the 2014 Rocket Launching Technology Competition (PTPR2014) will be representing Malaysia at the Water Rocket Event at the 21st APRSAF in Japan from November 29 to 30. National Space Agency director-general Dr Noordin Ahmad said he believed the two teams would give others stiff competition. "You will be competing at the world level, so show them how amazing Malaysians are at this challenge in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-21)," he said when closing PTPR2014 at Arena Stadium, Universiti Malaya here, Tuesday. A total of 38 participants from 19 teams contested to represent the country at the 2014 national-level Rocket Launching Technology competition (PTPR2014). -- BERNAMA
