State and prospects for development of Kyrgyz-Afghan relations discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, Aug. 9, 2018 / Kabar /. State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Omokeev held a bilateral meeting with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Mohammad Isa Mesbach, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of the Kyrgyz-Afghan relations, in which special attention was paid to expanding and deepening cooperation in trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian sphere, supporting ethnic Kyrgyz living in the Small and Great Pamirs of Afghanistan, and the participation of Afghan athletes in the upcoming Third World Nomad Games.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to intensify bilateral ties, including exchanges of visits at high levels, as well as to expand the legal framework between the two countries.
