"We Care For Humanity" To Set Up New Chapter In Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- A non-profit organisation based in Los Angeles, United States, "We Care for Humanity" (WCH), will set up its new chapter in Malaysia this year in a move to expand its mission on humanitarian awareness. Its founder Princess Dr Maria Amor Torres said WCH will act as an umbrella for the participating local non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and act as a medium of humanitarian networking and assistance. Malaysian NGO "Patronage of Refugee" headed by its president R Ravindran would help to assist the setting up of the WCH Malaysian Chapter soon, she told Bernama after being interviewed by Bernama TV talk show 'The Nation' here Wednesday. She said WCH was an internationally recognised organisation dealing with global issues concerning seven causes - human rights, green environment, world peace, poverty eradication, education, health and wellness as well as empowerment. Princess Maria from the Philippines said the organisation, established in 2011, was also promoting the development of healthy international relations between nations by shaping humanity through education, health, fitness, wellness, beauty, culture and arts. She said WCH, which had implemented programmes that benefited the disadvantaged and undeserved women, children, youths and senior citizens, had formed many chapters in various countries, including Nigeria, India and the Philippines. On Asean, she said the organisation was planning to defend the rights of the indigenious community and tribes that were neglected in the region. -- BERNAMA
