WHO lauds Iran’s advances in traditional medicine

TEHRAN,June 25(MNA) – Iran’s development in the field of alternative medicine made headlines and received recognition at the third meeting of WHO in Macau, China, from various countries. The head of the WHO traditional medicine praised Iran’s impressive success in the area of indigenous or folk medicine. Representatives from many countries attended the meeting to introduce their own countries’ complementary medicine and to familiarize themselves with WHO’s latest rules and regulations. Amir Homan Kazami took part in the assembly on behalf of Iran as the deputy chancellor of the School of Traditional Medicine of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The head of the WHO traditional medicine agreed to take Iran’s suggestion to contribute to global development and growth of traditional medicine worldwide.
