WOMEN MPS REQUEST NOT TO GIFT VODKA OR CIGARETTE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The women members’ group of parliament Thursday announced their appeal to stop gifting vodka or cigarettes amid the upcoming Lunar New Year. The Mongolian Pupils’ Union and the Youth Federation have joined this call. Giving vodka or tobacco as a present might trigger a desire to drink or smoke, the MPs fear. Theн also warned about alcohol over-consumption and its "contribution" to crimes and criminal victimization.
